Can I collect statistical information about my production?
Yes, on all controls there is a full statistical data collation system than is available for display and on the full specification Easiweigh controls there is an optional facility for printing the information. Can I connect it to a PC?
Yes on the full specification controls there is an optional extra (Easilink) that allows certain information to be downloaded to and certain machine commands and functions to be controlled by a PC system. Can I get training for my staff?
Yes! Easiweigh offer training either on site or at our premises. Can I hand present bags to it?
Yes, bags and/or containers of any description can be filled using Easiweigh machines. Can I have more than one weigher working together to increase the speed?
Yes! Any number of Easiweigh machines can be combined to give greater throughputs and speeds although in practice it is rare to use more than 4 (or occasionally 6) machines in this way. The machines operate as a single unit and can be timed to operate correctly with ancillary equipment by our PLC based random discharge synchronisation unit. They can be configured to operate as a single machine. The control has built in synchronisation for integration with another M/C.Can I run more than one product on the same machine at different times?
Yes, in fact this is standard practice, all machines have a "product code memory" and are simple to clean down which makes changing from one product to another a quick and easy operation. Can I run more than one product on the same machine at the same time?
No, not on a single machine, However on multiple machines with individual product hoppers each can run a different product if required. Can I weigh directly into a sack or carton?
YES the TITAN allows products to be weighed directly into a sack or large bag whilst the BOXER weighs directly into pre-formed cartons or other type of container. These machines are built to customer's specification and requirements around a standard basic format. Can it operate with an automatic bag-making machine?
Yes and also with a wide range of other ancillary packaging equipment such as carton forming, container indexing, thermo-forming machinery. How easy is it to clean?
Very easy, all parts that come into contact with the product are quick release for cleaning and maintenance. In normal circumstances an Easiweigh machine can be stripped down for cleaning in less than one minute! How easy is it to set up?
Very simple if you follow our comprehensive instructions. Once a product and weight combination has been correctly set up and successfully run the details are recorded in the product code memory for future use when returning to it at a future time. How easy is it to use?
Very easy, we find that most of our users have a good grasp of the operation within 15 to 30 minutes of first switching on. Although we offer a full install and commission service many customers throughout the world, especially for stand alone machines, have unpacked the case, set up the machine in accordance with our instruction manual and been up and running within 30 minutes of receiving the machine. How many Deposits per minute will it do?
Speed is dependent on a wide range of factors including product type, target weight, volume per weighment, accuracy requirements etc. The average speed for a single M/C is normally around 10-12 weighments per minute but this can vary enormously. For example a MIDI handling salted peanuts with a weight of 100g could achieve 16 to 18 weighments per minute. A MAXI doing 3Kg of twist wrapped candy may make 8 to 10 per minute. An ULTRA handling 5Kg of grated cheese would manage around 5 to 6 weights per minute.
We have experience in handling an enormous range and variety of products so please let us have details of your own products and weights and we will calculate the equipment necessary to achieve your throughput requirements.
How many product settings can the memory hold?
The standard Easiweigh controls have a 100 product code memory (expandable to 999 codes as an optional extra) while the "Pulse Lite" units have a 10 code memory (not expandable). How reliable is it?
Extremely reliable, we have an unsurpassed record and reputation for the quality and reliability of our equipment. In the unlikely event of a problem occurring our fully trained and experienced engineers are at your service giving both telephone and on-site support, backed up by our comprehensive spare parts inventory if necessary. Is it easy to maintain after the warranty?
There is no routine maintenance required on any Easiweigh machines other than cleaning and occasional calibration. Easiweigh equipment is extremely reliable and breakdowns are rare, but they can sometimes occur. Even after the warranty period has expired our fully trained and experienced engineers are at your service giving both telephone and on-site support, backed up by our comprehensive spare parts inventory if necessary. Of course we have to charge for these first rate services but we ensure that our charges are amongst the lowest in the industry. Extended warranties and service contracts are available to suit a wide range of customer needs. Is it mobile?
Yes to a certain extent! Generally all of the equipment can be fitted with lockable swivelling castors to allow it to be removed for cleaning or used on more than one production line for example. However as the machines are precision weighing equipment and are fairly heavy and we do not recommend them being moved unless absolutely necessary. Is it waterproof?
With the exception of the "SOLO" all machines in the Easiweigh range are waterproof to IP65.What accuracy will I get?
This depends on the product, machine settings, weight system and other relevant factors but generally weights will be within a 0.25% range of the target given a reasonable production period. Of course in average weight system the average weight will be at or about the target but always within the tolerances set whilst in minimum system all weights will be at least to the target. What is it made out of?
All Easiweigh machines are constructed almost entirely from stainless steel with some parts in food quality plastics where appropriate. We only use the very best components and highest quality materials from the worlds leading manufacturers. What is the smallest weight it will handle?
This depends on the machine type, the maximum weight and volume required and the product characteristics as a general rule the following applies:| SOLO | 25g |
| MINI | Under 1g |
| MIDI | 25g |
| MAXI | 250Kg |
| ULTRA | 2.5Kg |
| BOXER | 2.5Kg |
| TITAN | 5Kg |
These are nominal figures and individual machines can be configured differently when required.
What is the warranty period?
Our standard warranty covers the equipment manufactured and supplied by us against faulty parts or workmanship for a period of 12 months from delivery. Extended warranties and service contracts are available to suit a wide range of customer needs. What weight will it go up to?
This depends on the machine type, as standard our machines have the following capacities:| SOLO | 2Kg |
| MINI | 200g |
| MIDI | 2Kg |
| MAXI | 10Kg |
| ULTRA | 25Kg |
| BOXER | 50Kg |
| TITAN | 50Kg |
These are nominal figures and individual machines can be configured differently when required. For example where the characteristics of the product demand high power and size of the feed system but only a low target weight, then an ULTRA could be arranged with a maximum capacity of say 2Kg. Or where the product has a high bulk density a MIDI could have a maximum of say 5Kg.
